For 20 years, the YWCA of Asheville has been honoring women who make a difference in empowerment and equality for women and people of color, and/or in the transformation of our community to a better and more equitable place to live. For 105 years, the YW has been rooted in Asheville, working to eliminate racism and empower women.
Lisbeth will be honored at an event on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 7 PM at Pack Place and Diana Wortham Theatre. Everyone will receive a commemorative piece of art. At the event, three Honorees of the Year (Empowerment, Transformation, and Equality) will be announced, and will receive special recognition.
